International Critical Thinking Foundation
The “International Critical Thinking Foundation” is a not-for-profit Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) set up under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 on 12th September 2024 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. The Founding Trustees of the Trust are Dr. Awdhesh Kumar Singh and Mrs. Pratibha Singh.
Objectives of Trust :
- To promote critical thinking, ethical living, and moral values among individuals.
- To develop a scientific temper and rational thinking.
- To help people get rid of superstitions and blind faith.
- To publish magazines and journals for the publication of articles and research papers.
- To support education and research in critical thinking, ethics, and related fields.
- To organize workshops, conferences, and other events to promote critical thinking through various means, including online mode, webinars, classrooms and offline centres.
- To establish educational institutions to promote critical thinking.
- To conduct and sponsor research in the area of critical thinking and ethics.
- To provide scholarships for students, educators, and others to study and help advance our mission.
- Outreach to schools and corporations to promote critical thinking within their organization.
- To train teachers on the subject of critical thinking.
- Use Mass media to provide training and education to the masses to develop critical thinking and scientific temper.
- To bring, publish, sell, and distribute books, periodicals, leaflets, brochures and papers.
- To open and maintain online or offline libraries and reading rooms to promote the objects of the Trust.
- To acquire and maintain the movables and immovable properties for achieving the said objects.
- To advance any other objects of general public utility.
- To confer titles on eminent personalities in the field for their contribution.
- To establish colleges and institutions to impart education in the field and other allied fields.
- To undertake other activities incidental to the above activities, which are not inconsistent with the above objects.
Founding Trustees :
1. Dr. Awdhesh Kumar Singh
Dr. Awdhesh Singh did his B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 1987 and his M. Tech. from IIT Delhi in 1990. He was awarded a PhD from ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM) Gwalior on the topic “Expert System-based Decision Support System for E-Governance” in 2008.
He was selected for the Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Indirect Taxes) in the first attempt and joined the Government of India in 1991. He voluntarily retired in 2016 to pursue his passion for writing and educating. He was awarded the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Certificate of Merit in 2011 and the Presidential Award by the Government of India in 2015 for his exemplary work in the Government. He is a prolific writer who has authored over a dozen books.
2. Pratibha Singh
Mrs Pratibha Singh has been a brilliant student throughout her career and completed her post-graduate degree in Political Science from Allahabad University in 1993. She is a voracious reader and loves music and arts.
