Our Work

Knowledge is the greatest power and the actualiser of action. If they have the right knowledge, no person would do a wrong deed. The goal of the Foundation is to conduct research to find out the truth and reach the largest number of people worldwide to share the right knowledge.

Accordingly, the Foundation shall work in the following areas for the benefit of humanity.

Critical Thinking Development

The critical thinking traditions are thousands of years old from the time of Socrates, Budhha, and Confucius. However, most people are still driven by their emotions and intuition to make hasty but wrong decisions because they are not aware of the methods of critical thinking that can be used to ascertain the truth and discard the untruth.

The Foundation will strive to promote critical thinking at all levels through offline and online classes, seminars, and research papers. We shall also work towards including critical thinking courses at the school and college level to make every citizen a critical thinker.

Ethics and Morality

Ethics and Morality

The world has transformed beyond recognition in the last couple of decades with the liberation and globalisation policies of the world. Technological revolutions like the internet and social media is making the world a global village. However, this also leads to clashes between civilisation and conflict regarding the modal values.

Ethics and morality have long been associated with religion, and people often do the right deeds due to the fear of God according to their scripture. However, as people acquire modern education, they lose faith in religion and can’t be persuaded to be moral based on the words of the scriptures. Moreover, religions often provide contradictory moral values, which confuse cosmopolitan citizens and often create conflict in civilisation. Western philosophy has made great progress over the past two thousand years in developing moral principles based on rationality, but it has ended up with numerous ethical principles that contradict each other and confuse people.

The foundation shall conduct research to find universal principles of ethics and morality using critical thinking tools to convince the modern generation to follow and become moral to create a better society.

Religion and Rituals

Most people in the world are still religious and believe in God. While religion has helped the creation of cohesive societies based on common values, it is also responsible for numerous conflicts and discrimination based on caste, creed, gender and race. Religions are also responsible for the development of irrational beliefs, the paranormal world and miracles.

The Foundation shall work towards researching and publishing articles and research papers that would investigate the benefits and shortcomings of religious activities like prayers, fasting, and rituals. The Foundation also wishes to promote discussion and study relating to people’s sacred beliefs on the soul, after-life, rebirth, karma, salvation, ghosts, etc. to let the world know the reality.

Superstition

Superstitions

It is a pity that despite all the education and development of science, most people in the world are superstitious. They avoid certain numbers to avoid misfortune and prefer to accept other numbers to bring them luck. It is common for numerous people to work only during auspicious times and avoid any work during inauspicious times, like the Rahu kala. Some people believe in Disha-shool and would not travel on a particular direction on a given day of the week. There are thousands of such superstitions that is creating undue fear in the minds of people, which is hampering their progress.

Unfortunately, not sufficient research has been done to establish the futility of such superstition. The Foundation wish to promote research in this area to remove unnecessary fear from the minds of the people and make them realise their full potential.

astrology

Pseudoscience

Pseudoscience is a pretended or spurious science, a collection of related beliefs about the world mistakenly regarded as being based on the scientific method or as having the status that scientific truths now have. Some of the popular forms of pseudosciences are astrology, palmistry, numerology, Vastu-sastra, etc.

People believe in pseudoscience because sufficient research has not been conducted to disprove their claims. The Foundation shall promote research in these areas to bring out the truth about these popular beliefs.

health

Health and Happiness

Every human wants to be healthy and happy. People often work hard to acquire wealth, power, fame and physical fitness to strive for these goals, but they lose their health and happiness. We want to conduct studies to find out the cause of suffering and promote health and happiness to every person.

Politics and Governance

If we want to have good citizens, we need good governance in the country, which requires good people to enter into politics. Unfortunately, politics have become so dirty in most parts of the world that good people don’t want to join politics. When corrupt politicians rule the nation, every organ of the government becomes corrupt and inefficient.

The Foundation shall carry out studies and find the best practices in politics and governance to bring out political and bureaucratic reforms to improve the quality of governance and create better societies.
