Dr. Awdhesh Kumar Singh Honoured with Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award

The Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) held its 13th convocation ceremony at Swatantra Bhawan on Monday, conferring degrees upon 1,959 students from various disciplines. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan graced the occasion as the chief guest, presenting medals and awards to meritorious students.

Eight alumni were honoured with Distinguished Alumnus/Alumna Award. Prof Anuj Srivastava (Electronics) was recognised in the academic field, Anil K. Sachdev (Metallurgical) and D. Goswami (Mechanical) in industry/entrepreneurship. V. K. Raina (Civil) was honoured in the professional field, Dr. Awdhesh Kumar Singh (Mechanical) in public life, Hema Singh (Electronics) in research and innovation, and Sudipta Dutta (Electrical) and Shubham Paliwal (Electronics) received the Young Alumnus Achiever Award.

The awards were announced by Prof. Hiralal Pramanik, Dean (Resources and Alumni).The ceremony was attended by Prof Vikas Kumar Dubey, Dean of Research and Development, Prof. Rajesh Kumar, Dean of Student Affairs and Prof. Anurag Ohri, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, among others.
